Essay: 

George S. Keyes believes this painting to date from 1611-1612. It is a pendant to 'Pilgrims travelling to Emmaus', currently in the collection of Oberlin College (cat. nº 7), Allen Memorial Art Museum, Inv. nº 1958.42.
